Abstract

Differential cross sections of 6 Li(γ,π +) 6 He leading to the ground and first excited residual states have been deduced in the range of momentum transfer 0.7 m π < q<2 m π from the measured pion energy distributions of 6 Li(γ,π +) 6 He . The results are compared with the shell-model estimates. In the case of the ground-state transition (M1), the experimental results show an enhancement in the region of q>1.6 mπ. It is not similar to the case of the first excited state transition (M1 + E2 + M3).
