Abstract
Preliminary measurements of the momenta of charged cosmic particles were made with a large single gap (21 to 50 cm) spark chamber in a magnetic field to determine the accuracy and the particle momentum-track curvature correspondence for such a device. The spark curvature was found to be caused by a true curvature of the particle track in the magnetic field. High accuracy is expected for particles of tens of Bev. (D.C.W.)
