Abstract

The electron momentum density in liquid aluminum is calculated. The electron correlation effects are included in this calculation by following the scheme of Daniel and Vosko. The unperturbed electron propagators are modified to include the effects of the ion potentials. Numerical results show a substantial change from the case of a homogeneous electron gas of corresponding density, and also from a calculation including the ion potentials but ignoring correlations.
