Abstract

The review of scientific knowledge about the rotational motion of matter and its “piecewise” structure is presented. Analysis of the migration of earthquake sources and the displacement of tectonic plate borders has made it possible to reveal common properties of these movements and to prove their wave nature, for whose description a radically new rotational model is constructed and analytically solved. It is shown that within the rotational model, blocks and plates are interconnected by elastic long-range fields that form a unified planetary geodynamic field—the “self-consistent” state of the geomedium. It is proposed to use the geodynamic solutions of the rotational model, which unite the hydrodynamic flows in the Dirichlet-Dedekind-Riemann problem, on the equilibrium shape of the Earth with geological and geographical vortex structures and movements into a single class of phenomena, as the basis for constructing a new geological paradigm—novel moment (and/or wave and/or vortex) geodynamics.
