Abstract

A new method of moments (MoM)-based approach is proposed to efficiently solve broadband radiation and scattering problems on triangulated, quadrilateral, and mixed mesh geometries. This approach is based on expanding the total current on a conducting body at any desired frequency in terms of entire-domain hyperbasis functions (HBFs), calculated at only one frequency. These HBFs must be found as eigenfunctions of the generalized eigenvalue equation (GEE), defined at that frequency. The developed approach is validated by comparing results with those obtained by direct MoM for different types of mesh. Finally, it is demonstrated for solving practical antenna problems.
