Abstract

In article number 2000561, Tiejun Wang and co-workers show that cobalt-doping and Mo vacancies on the molybdenum carbide (β-Mo2C) surface synergistically tune the electron density and d-band center, which effectively enhance the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) performance over the sphere-type porous β-Mo2C-based catalysts. With an optimal degree of etching treatment, the Co50-Mo2C-12 catalyst exhibits high activity and excellent durability for HER.
