Abstract
One of the world's major producers of molybdenum and rhenium powders is Herman C. Starck Berlin (HCST). Annual production today is in the region of 500–600 tonnes of molybdenum powder and some 4500 kg of rhenium powder. Metal Powder Report recently had the opportunity to visit HCST's plant in Goslar, Germany, and reports on the production of these refractory metal powders.
