Abstract

In this study, the 6-(4-fluorobenzoyl)-3-(2-(4-methylpiperazine-1-il)-2-oxoethyl)benzo [d]thiazole-2(3H) (briefly named as 6FPB) molecule structure and its properties have been investigated in detail. Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), ultraviolet visible (UV–Vis) techniques were used to obtain the spectra of vibrational, absorption or emission and also the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum was provided in research for determining of the content of solid and liquid phases for the 6FPB molecule. Then, the atmospheric pressure plasma treatment (APPT) was applied to the 6FPB molecule in liquid phase. In this case, the NMR, UV–Vis and FT-IR spectra have been obtained and analyzed, again. According to the results, it is seen that the 6FPB molecule was decomposed after APPT. Some shifts and changes occurring in the peaks show that some bonds of 6FPB molecule have been broken. The electronic transitions as π-π* and n-π* were obtained at the 6FPB molecule. It is seen that the electronic transitions π-π* and n-π* are related to the isomerization process. NMR spectra show that all of the protons of title molecule except for protons of piperazine ring and CH2 group were eliminated by APPTs.
