Molecular structure of an O-blocked form of ACRL Toxin I

Abstract

Abstract The title compound, (6R,8S)-t-butyldimethylsiloxy-2S,4S-isopropylidenedioxy-3S,7S,9-trimethyl-5E,9E-undecadienyl)-4-methoxy-5,6-dihydro-2H-pyran-2-one, C29H50O6Si, an O-blockcd form of the plantpathogenic ACRL Toxin I, obtained from D-glucose by synthesis crystallizes orthorhombic in the space group P212121 with a = 45.63(4) Å, b = 8.46(1) Å, c = 8.30(1) Å, and Z = 4, R = 0.085, Rw = 0.066. The pyranoid portion adopts a skew-boat geometry, the 1,3-dioxolane ring a standard chair conformation.
