Abstract

The novel tetranuclear di-vinylidene complex Cp2(CO)4RePd(μ2-CCHPh)RePd(μ3-CCHPh)(dppe) was isolated and characterized by X-ray diffraction. This cluster consists of two RePd fragments linked to each other through the bonding of the palladium atom in the [Cp(CO)2RePd(μ-CCHPh)] fragment to the carbonyl and vinylidene ligands in the Cp(CO)2RePd(μ-CCHPh)(dppe) fragment.
