Abstract

Spindle assembly during oocyte meiosis and early embryo mitosis is a critical process affected by molecular motors. This image shows the distribution of kinesin family member 1B in a metaphase‐II mouse oocyte (see Kong et al. in this issue for details). The oocyte is stained for KIF1B (green) and beta‐tubulin (red). DNA was stained with DAPI (blue).
