Abstract

For early-stage non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), multimodality therapy is standard practice, but 5-year survival rates for stage II and III disease remain low (20%–40%). Molecular profiling has reshaped therapy in stage IV disease with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitors for EGFR -mutation patients.
