Abstract

The viscosities of aqueous solutions of L-alanine and L-valine with non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug dolonex (0.020, 0.040, 0.060 mol kg–1) have been measured at different temperatures (293.15–313.15 K) and at atmospheric pressure. On the basis of experimental results Jones–Dole coefficient-B, viscosity B-coefficient of transfer, activation parameters i.e., free energy of activation of viscous flow per mole of solvent $$\Delta \mu _{2}^{{^\circ \# }}$$ and per mole of solute $$\Delta \mu _{1}^{{^\circ \# }}$$ were determined. The obtained results were discussed in terms of solute–solvent interactions in these solutions. Moreover, structure breaker tendency of solute molecules were obtained by measuring temperature derivative of viscosity B-coefficient.
