Abstract
The soluble proteins from two near-isogenic lines of Pisum sativum. cv. William Massey have been compared electrophoretically. These lines differ in their physiological response to wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. pisi), one being susceptible and the other resistant. The total protein profiles derived from the two lines appear to be identical. The resistant line differs electrophoretically from the susceptible line in carrying an esterase component which has been derived from its resistant parent, cultivar Delwiche Commando.
