Abstract

Infectious bronchitis in poultry is one of the economically important diseases in the poultry industry. study was aimed to diagnose Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) in broiler chickens using RT-PCR. the current study was completed to diagnose infection in (18) broiler chicken fields in Thi-Qar province. During the period of October 2020 AD to May 2021 AD. samples were collected – swabs were examination results from a total fields, five samples were prepared from each flock, 90 samples were used for real time- PCR test and this result indicated the highest levels of viral RNA titer, 40 samples were positive (44.44%). The highest rates of infected chicks with IB detected in Rifai and Fajr (66.67%). Viral RNA from the (pooled trachea, lung, kidney) with the sample number (A1830242.001) showed positive results with species-specific and IBVvariant-specific RT-PCR, in this study recording the strain Variant2² (Israel02,IS 1494).
