Abstract
In this letter, we consider a molecular communication channel where the fluid medium has a constant drift from the transmitter toward the receiver and the information to be transmitted is the release position of the information molecules. We use the Green’s function formulation and the method of images to derive the first arrival position density of the molecule at the receiver plane. We then analyze this first arrival position channel in terms of symbol error probability and capacity in the information theoretic sense.
