Abstract
The original article to which this Erratum refers was published in Human Mutation 26:495 (DOI 10.1002/humu.9379). The authors discovered an error in their interpretation of one of the BRCA1 c.5277+1G>A (IVS20+1G>A) variant transcripts in their published article, in that they originally reported this variant to result in an out of frame inclusion of 85 bp of intron 20 leading to a premature stop codon. However, they were recently alerted to the fact that this is a miss count of the bps involved in the inclusion; the inclusion is actually 87 bp and the inclusion is inframe. The authors regret this error.
