Abstract

Electrical conductivities in the ternary molten salt system have been measured in U‐tube capillary‐type cells over the entire ternary composition range and at temperatures varying between 510° and 1054°C. Molar conductivity and apparent activation energies for the process have been calculated. The relationship obeyed by some of the thermodynamic properties for this system (10) is not applicable to electrical conductivities. The concentration dependence of the molar conductivity indicates the presence of complex species in this system.
