Abstract

In this work, the hollow spherical Co2P@C composite with micro-nanostructure has been successfully obtained through phosphating the cobalt-based metal-organic framework (MOF), which was prepared by solvothermal method. The MOF-derived Co2P@C hollow spheres are characterized by power X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Electrochemical measurements show that Co2P@C has a good performance with an overpotential of 328 ​mV for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) at a current density of 10 ​mA ​cm−2 and a Tafel slope of only 57 ​mV dec−1. In addition, it is found that the composite has a minimum charge transfer resistance and a high long-term stability in alkaline solution.
