Abstract

Local field representations of the U(1) chiral conformal current algebra are considered. They correnpond to the Virasoro central charge c=1. The locality condition singles out a denumerable set of models with basic charged fields of U(10 charge g = ± n , n = 1, 2, … . Modular invariant partition functions are constructed for all such models. The level-1 su(2) theory and the extended N = 2 super Virasoro model (for c = 1) are special cases.
