Abstract

Aircraft's ground manoeuvrability is directly influenced by its steering control system. Nose landing gear steering system is used for major aircrafts, while main landing gear collaborative steering system is commonly introduced to wide-body aircrafts, proposed to decrease the main landing gear steering torque, decrease the turning radius, and improve the tire wearing performance. In this paper, the hydraulic system proposal and control strategy is raised for a downscaling test-rig, which is designed to estimate the main landing gear steering control system. Finally, a AMESim simulation model is built evaluate the collaborative performance.
