Abstract
On the basis of the results of the investigation on the leaching of basalt from the Vasil’evskoe deposit (Kemerov oblast) with hydrochloric and phosphoric acids, we propose a method for modifying the composition of gabbro basalts from Russian deposits during the production of mineral fibers and stone castings. Regulating the leaching conditions, it is possible to change the coefficient of acidity of a raw material and selectively reduce the concentrations of some components, thus producing materials with the desired consumer properties.
