Abstract
The modified WKB method applied to the bound-state problem as given by the author is extended to include several high-order terms. It is then applied to the single-electron-atom case. Here we take the three-dimensional harmonic-oscillator problem as the solved part and the single-electron-atom problem as the part to be solved. It is shown that the successive terms in this modified WKB approximation consist of the series expansion which gives the correct eigenvalue.
