Abstract

A modified SAW diode convolver is presented which works with backward biased diodes, so that no bias resistor is needed and taps are isolated from one another. The new distribution of taps makes it possible for the convolver to operate at lower frequencies and enables a relatively wide bandwidth. The experimental results of a device with 28 taps have been given.
