Abstract

The term Lamb-type formulas relates to the low frequency solutions to the plane wave scattering by various grids and gratings. Here a mathematically grounded deviation of these formulas in the scattering by freestanding flat grids of resistive, dielectric and impedance strips are observed. Formulas for the flat grating of resistive strips characterized with electric resistivity, by using matrix equation have been obtained. A comparative study of the accurate and approximate solutions for the E-wave reflection coefficient for dielectric strip grating is performed.
