Abstract
AbstractWe report the olefination of Boc‐ protected pyrrolidinone through a modified Julia olefination. Boc‐protected exo‐enamides can then be easily converted into spirobicyclic structure or can be used as useful intermediate for the preparation of natural indolizidine 209D. This application demonstrates the synthetic potential of our methodology for the synthesis of bicyclic alkaloids.
