Abstract
In this paper we present the modified Electric Arc Discharge useful to the fabrication of Long period gratings in hollow core fibers. The proposed approach consists in electric Arc Discharge assisted by air pressure inside core and cladding holes of the fiber lattice structure. Here, the vital role of air pressure in the holes of the fibers is experimentally investigated. Our results show that the proposed approach successfully permit the production of Long Period Grating (LPG) in the hollow core air silica photonic bandgap fiber.
