Abstract

Modified cyclodextrins as chiral stationary phases in capillary gaschromatography are proved to be powerful tools in the enantioselective analysis of different chiral volatiles, detecting origin specific enantiomeric distributions. In flavour chemistry enantioselective analysis is used for authenticity assessment and biogenesis studies. In medicine, enantio-MDGC/ MS serves to diagnostic and metabolic studies of inherited metabolic diseases.
