Abstract

In this paper we study the bulk viscous cosmology by considering modified Chaplygin gas in the framework of $$(2+1)$$ -dimensional spacetime. For this we consider various form of bulk viscosity coefficient $$\zeta $$ and then obtain the physical parameters energy density $$\rho $$ , Hubble and deceleration parameters, H and q, respectively. Finally we discuss the stability of the model by using the speed of sound.
