Abstract
Summary Analysis of total DNA extracted from tumorous tissue cultures of Micotiana tabacum and Scorzonera hispanica by Ag+-Cs2SO4 density gradient centrifugation revealed a complex heavy satellite DNA at a density of 1.54 to 1.57 g/ml that is not found in corresponding healthy tissue; some molecular properties of this satellite are described. Implications of the presence of this reiterative fraction in crown-gall DNA are discussed.
