Abstract

The non-Navier-Stokes continuum models proposed earlier on the basis of a modification of the gasdynamic equations of the higher (starting from the Burnett) approximations of the Chapman-Enskog method for shock wave flow are generalized to include the case of three-dimensional flows of a simple (monatomic) gas. The models are tested on the problems of shock wave structure and cylindrical Couette rarefied gas flow.
