Abstract

The purpose of the conducted works was material testing of modified poly(vinyl chloride) intended for use in the production of three-layer transmission pipes used in the construction of feeding systems. The effect of modifier on the mechanical and processing properties of PVC was determined. Plastographometric analysis was performed and basic mechanical properties as well as MFR were determined. A sandwich panel reflecting the cross-section of the wall of the designed pipe was made and characterized. A method of estimating the content of processing additives in PVC mixtures was proposed to obtain the material with the assumed MFR value. It has been found that poly(vinyl chloride) materials of various compositions, as well as their recyclates, can be conveniently combined into durable multilayer structures.
