Abstract

A fully coherent optical communication link using orthogonal polarization modulation based self-heterodyne detection is proposed and experimentally demonstrated where the dual-band voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) optical source and broadband double balanced mixer at the receiver in fully coherent optical wireless link was proposed and experimentally demonstrated for optical communication and sensor application.
