AbsractCathleen Rountree, “Modern Woman in Search of Soul: An Interview with June Singer, February 12, 1999,” The San Francisco Jung Institute Library Journal, 2005, 24:1, 54-72. In the early 1960s, Jungian Analyst June Singer studied at the Jung Institute in Zurich with Jolande Jacobi, who also became her analyst. Dr. Singer later helped establish the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and the C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago. In addition, she was a long-term member of the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. The author of several books, Dr. Singer is perhaps best known for Boundaries Of The Soul, the first attempt to systematize the process of Jungian analysis. This intimate interview with Dr. Singer reveals for the first time her very personal struggles with relationships, the loss of her only child, her creative process, finding her life purpose as a Jungian analyst, and dealing with issues of conscious aging and finding love late in life.
