Modern state and prospects of development of creative industries in terms of pandemic COVID-19

Abstract

The article touches upon the problem of developing creative sector of the economy under the conditions of COVID-19 on a global scale. It is proved that this sector is the most vulnerable among the other fields of economy and sensitive to the negative impact of the COVID-19 crisis. This sensitivity is due to the specific features of creative business. They include high proportions of small business and self-employed people; high level of innovative activity of creative enterprises, which must be constantly supported financially; market features of the formation of consumer demand and consumption of creative products; the scale of integration of creative economy with different sectors of the national economy, which causes a synergistic effect in case of crisis; high share of the intellectual component in the value of creative products, which is the object of intellectual property and requires a high level of protection in the society. The author looks into the experience of some European countries, in particular the United Kingdom, in overcoming the negative consequences of COVID-19 for creative business, which can be valuable for Ukraine and other countries. The main changes in the world business environment during the COVID-19 pandemic, which countries need to take into account when developing national strategies for economic recovery in the post-crisis period, are studied. Practical approaches of the governments of different countries to developing national economy restart programs and creative business recovery after crisis are generalized. The main factors of recovery, development and growth of the creative economy in the post-crisis recovery and growth of the creative sector is substantiated. To achieve the main goal and objectives of the study, the author uses general and specific research methods, including scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, individual statistical methods such as comparisons and groupings, dynamic comparisons, tabular methods etc.
