AbstractThe growth rate of service industry in Tianjin has increased gradually since “The 11th Five-year Plan”, however, compared with metropolis home and abroad, the gaps still exist. In accordance with the characteristics of modern service industry status quo in Tianjin and its urban function orientation, the approaches to and strategies for future development should be to transform traditional service industry, to accelerate high-end services, to focus on producer service industry, and continuously to improve health and security services.
