Abstract

This study involves an analysis of Andre Gide's modern novel. writer, whose motivation was to write a that resembled none of his former works, accomplished his desire by writing The Counterfeiters. originality of the writer's first and only novel lies in the fact that it constructs a character who is also writing a entitled The Counterfeiters. This situation enables the writer to voice his views on the creation of a literary text and modernisation of narrative styles.
