Abstract

The concept of Patent Clinics organised by regional patent libraries is revisited, in the current climate of more integrated patent and business services for the innovator. In particular the role of the business advisor at these clinics is explored in some detail. A case study of an innovator's beneficial use of the patent clinics is described, and plans for extending the concept within a particular region are outlined.
