Abstract

The phenomenon of storytelling is not new in the global information environment, but it has significantly evolved in the era of digital transformation. Moreover, the rapid development of network technologies, alongside the total digitization of society, has transformed storytelling into a unique media formation with a powerful synergistic effect achieved through the merger of cross-media components. This study focuses on the toolkit of modern storytelling, particularly on online resources for creating cross-media stories. Various types of such constructors are considered, specifically in the context of the functioning of the Ukrainian media sphere. The features of using certain popular multifunctional online storytelling tools are described in a journalistic dimension, to create such cross-media products as longreads, multimedia texts, and more. The level of presence of the issue of constructing cross-media stories in the research field of contemporary scholars is reflected.
