Abstract
The article discusses the method of reinforcing weak foundations of automobile roads in the Urals that uses soilcement piles produced through jet grouting. The article demonstrates that armed ground pile foundations lead to substantial increase of the bearing capacity of the foundation, however the effectiveness of the method largely depends on the thickness and the lithologic composition of the foundation soils.
