Abstract

Cellulite is an adipose tissue disorder that primarily affects women. The skin in the areas of cellulite is lacking in elasticity and is blemished. There are also areas of patchy warmth, resulting from impaired transport of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues. The article aimed to present in detail the types of cellulite, the methods of diagnosis, and the options available for its reduction. Understanding the factors that cause this adipose tissue disorder, as well as the degree of progression of the lesions, enables an effective anti-cellulite therapy to be selected. In the article, the active ingredients used in cellulitereducing cosmetics and their multidirectional effects were also described.
