Abstract

Modern means of proof in the form of forensic evidence and electronic data has become an integral part of the law of evidence in the western legal system. For instance, medical evidence is considered conclusive in determining, inter alia, that a witness does not suffer from any abnormality of mind. It is also regarded as sufficient evidence to establish a causal connection between the taking of a drug and THE resulting damage to the complainant's health.1 Other forensic sciences, such as laboratorial testing of a blood specimen, constitute a prima facie evidence of proving paternity.
