HE market-gardening and fruitgrowing district of the Vale of Evesham, occupying the Worcestershire section of the Avon Valley, is unique among agricultural regions of Great Britain. It is a major fruit-growing area of Britain; its orchards at blossom-time draw sightseers from all over the Midlands.
