Abstract

A crude oil plant is treated as a classic unit for any refinery, due to its own place within the process streams, inner complexity, unexpected behavior and control task difficulty. Our previous works [1-6] show that, if a good and validated dynamic mathematical model exists for such a plant, many of the above-mentioned difficulties may be in a way overridden when studying and operating the plant. For that reason, after the process dynamic modeling, its open-loop representation validation and introduction of the dynamic decoupler for quality control loops, this article analyzes the side products End Boiling Points closed-loop behavior (as an improved quality control to be performed).
