Abstract

The current information on the incidence of acute cerebrovascular accident in the world and in Ukraine is summarized. It is noted that the basis of disability during stroke are the motor (walking and balance disorders) and cognitive impairments. It is emphasized that the use of modern methods of intervention during neurorehabilitation can significantly affect the social and functional prospects of such patients, through which they can return the patient to active social activities, create conditions for his active participation in society and improve the quality of life of the patient himself, and his loved ones. According to the results of literary sources analysis, it was found that the use of methodological approaches of the International Classification of Functioning is a way to improve functional independence, reduce the limitations of daily living activities, and maximize the activity and participation of the patient. The objective of the research is to scientifically substantiate and develop the program of physical rehabilitation of people with acute cerebrovascular disorder in the late recovery period. Methods. Analysis of scientific literature, synthesis, generalization, pedagogical observation. Results. The strategy of solving the problem consists in reducing the limitations of daily living activities, increased mastering new skills and abilities that maximize patient’s activity, changing the environment in order to minimize social constraints. It has been determined that for the purpose of conducting rehabilitation interventions and forecasting the consequences, it is important to choose criteria for assessing the degree of severity of the neurological deficiency, which is ensured by the use of estimation scales that are used for diagnosis and determination of daily living activity limitations. It has been proved that the conditions of effective rehabilitation of patients after stroke in the late recovery period are adequate definition of short-term and long-term goals of rehabilitation, identification of problems and needs, standardized assessment of state dynamics and degree of functional recovery using scales, tests and questionnaires, involvement in the rehabilitation process of the patient and his relatives, the attitude towards the patient as a personality
