Abstract

The article deals with tasks facing today's telecommunications network monitoring systems used by cable television operators and the models employed to achieve them. The work formulates a task for statistical analysis of customer behavior when choosing the application and the content to be played in the context of geographic location/ scale of charges/ time of day, etc., which is not achieved by means of traditional monitoring systems. The article also formulates a definition for a knowledge graph and covers the areas of validity of models based on knowledge graphs for telecommunications network monitoring systems. The issues of developing an ontological model of a cable television operator telecommunications network to generate a knowledge graph are considered. Drawing on the analysis carried out, a particular model of a network of a cable television operator based on a knowledge graph is proposed, and the model results obtained on the example of solving a particular task are presented. The scenarios of using the knowledge graph in analyzing the telecommunications network dynamic data are considered. The key principles of creating a generalized model of telecommunications network monitoring based on a knowledge graph are formulated.
