Abstract
Analytical formulas are proposed for calculating the axial stress and optimal working channel of the die for two models of the strain hardening of nonhollow circular rod. The hardening curve must be taken into account in calculating the stress state of the drawing process. Counterstress improves the stability of the optimal drawing angle.
