Abstract

Abstract Meandering and braided rivers produce reservoir sand bodies of different size and heterogeneity. The heterogeneity and size of channel reservoirs can be predicted at an early stage in field development. Reservoir models derived through geological analysis of meandering and braided channel sands in the Travis Peak Formation are similar to those developed independently by reservoir simulation studies.
