Abstract

Based on the temporary plots of circle clear cutting for larch (Larix olgensis Henry) plantation, the tree and stand crown structure were studied by using the approach of branch analysis for each tree of the plot. the results of this work indicated that in stand the tree crown form is as same as different tree size (DBH and H). So the tree’s crown structure can be characterized by using averaged crown taper of the stand. Therefore, the different stand conditions are correlated with stand age, site index and stand density. Estimation models of stand crown structure are developed by regression and the model can be used to develop the stand growth and management models.
