AbstractAgricultural vaccine trials are costly, and it is important that they should provide the maximum amount of information. The traditional probit model often fails to provide a reliable estimate of median protective dilution. The complementary loglog transformation is to be preferred because it provides a probabilistic basis for fixing one of the parameters, thereby increasing the precision of estimation.
